1.FC Köln is reportedly open to the possibility of transferring winger Linton Maina during the upcoming winter transfer window, according to a club-affiliated source.
The Bundesliga club would consider selling the 26-year-old player if a suitable offer is made. However, due to Maina's inconsistent performance in the first half of the season, Köln does not anticipate receiving any such offers.
Maina has not recorded any goal contributions in eleven appearances, highlighting his struggles this season. Consequently, the former German youth international is reportedly receptive to a change and a new opportunity.
Recently, 1.FC Union Berlin was mentioned as a potential suitor for Maina in January, although no formal approach has been made thus far. Additionally, there are indications that other clubs in both the Bundesliga and Germany's second division are also interested in the player.
