Bayern Secures Dominant Victory Over Heidenheim, Extends Lead to Nine Points Before Winter Break

Bayern Munich concluded 2025 with a decisive 4-0 victory over 1. FC Heidenheim at the Voith-Arena in the Bundesliga's final match before the winter break.

The match saw Bayern dominate from the outset, with Josip Stanisic scoring the opening goal in the 15th minute, converting a header from a corner-kick routine.

Michael Olise extended the lead in the 32nd minute, capitalizing on a deflected shot from Hiroki Ito to find the back of the net.

Following halftime, Bayern maintained control of the game and nearly scored a third when Harry Kane's shot hit the post in the 54th minute.

Heidenheim briefly threatened with Stefan Schimmer heading the ball against the bar just two minutes later.

Schimmer had another opportunity to alter the scoreline in the 78th minute, but his shot from a favorable position was saved by Jonas Urbig, who filled in for the injured Manuel Neuer.

Bayern effectively sealed the match in the 86th minute when Luis Diaz headed in a well-placed cross from Josip Stanisic.

In injury time, Harry Kane added a fourth goal after receiving a pass from Serge Gnabry, bringing the final score to 4-0.

This victory positions Bayern nine points ahead of second-placed Borussia Dortmund as they head into the winter break.
