Spurs Fans Criticize Goalkeeper Following Early Blunder

Tottenham fans expressed their frustration towards goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario following a disappointing performance in the Premier League, where the team suffered a 2-1 home loss to Fulham. The visitors scored two goals in the first six minutes, with Kenney Tete and Harry Wilson both finding the net.

The second goal resulted from a poorly executed clearance by Vicario, who was caught out of position near the corner flag. This marked the earliest instance of Tottenham conceding two goals in a home Premier League match.

Former England striker Alan Smith commented on the situation, noting the unusual occurrence of fans booing a player just seven minutes into the game. He expressed concern that the pressure on the Spurs players could intensify.

Fulham ultimately secured the victory, although Tottenham's Mohammed Kudus scored in the 59th minute, introducing a tense final half-hour.

In another match, Manchester City narrowly avoided defeat against Leeds, winning 3-2 thanks to a last-minute goal from Phil Foden. City had initially established a two-goal lead with goals from Foden and Josko Gvardiol, but Leeds fought back with goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha, who equalized from a rebound.

Foden's late goal lifted City to second place in the league standings, four points behind Arsenal. Manager Pep Guardiola expressed relief at the win, especially after two consecutive losses, and acknowledged the emotional nature of football.

Newcastle United celebrated manager Eddie Howe's 48th birthday with a decisive 4-1 victory over Everton. The match began explosively, with Malick Thiaw scoring from a corner just 52 seconds in, marking the fastest goal of the Premier League season. Newcastle continued to dominate, scoring additional goals through Lewis Miley and Nick Woltemade.

Meanwhile, Brentford's Igor Thiago scored twice in a 3-1 win against Burnley, while Sunderland mounted a comeback from two goals down to defeat Bournemouth 3-2, with Enzo Le Fee and Bertrand Traore contributing to the victory.
