The former Shakhtar Donetsk forward Danylo Sikan has struggled to adapt to life in Turkey, prompting Hamburger SV to consider a transfer option.
Reports from the Turkish newspaper Sabah Spor indicate that the German first division club is preparing to make an offer for the striker, who currently plays for Trabzonspor.
Sikan has had limited playing time under coach Fatih Tekke, which suggests that Trabzonspor may be open to a transfer.
The 24-year-old joined the Süper Lig from Shakhtar Donetsk earlier this year for a fee of €6 million. However, he has only made nine appearances this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
Given his lack of first-team opportunities, a loan move starting in January appears to be a viable option.
