Dortmund Captain Can Reflects on Late Draw: "We Should Not Allow This to Happen"

Following a late goal from Deniz Undav that resulted in a 3-3 draw, Borussia Dortmund's captain Emre Can expressed his disappointment with the outcome.

“Very disappointing. After leading 2-0 at half-time, we have to see it through. Then we scored to make it 3-2 very, very late and conceded a goal in return. That should never happen to us. We have to defend much better overall. That wasn’t good today. We just have to be more aggressive – especially me on the second goal,” Can stated in a post-match interview.

Can admitted to misjudging a critical moment, saying, “I completely misjudged the situation. I thought we were further to the right of the goal. It’s on me, and the other two goals were cheap too.”

BVB goalkeeper Gregor Kobel echoed Can's sentiments, highlighting his frustration over the three goals conceded against Stuttgart.

“In terms of chances, the result was perhaps fair, but in this manner, it is of course extremely frustrating again. All of the goals we conceded were avoidable. We need to be more focused. We have to be more consistent in defence. It was the work we've done in defence that has made us strong," Kobel remarked.
