
Ezequiel Fernández has sustained a knee injury and will be unavailable for several weeks.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen announced on Monday that the Argentine midfielder injured his knee ligaments during Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Freiburg.
The club confirmed that the 23-year-old is expected to be out for seven to eight weeks.
Fernández has been a regular starter, having played in the last five matches for Bayer Leverkusen.
The team will continue its 2025/26 campaign in the DFB-Pokal against Paderborn on Wednesday.
