VfB Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeness praised midfielder Chema Andrés during a press conference on Wednesday.
Andrés, a 20-year-old new signing from Real Madrid, was included in the starting lineup for Stuttgart's upcoming Bundesliga match against FC St. Pauli, where he will partner with Angelo Stiller in central midfield, ahead of team captain Atakan Karazor.
Hoeness commended Andrés for his impressive performances since joining the team. He noted, “Chema has performed at a high level from the very beginning. The baseline level he brings as a 20-year-old is impressive. He is very mature, focused and clear-headed, and he has already delivered strong performances with us.”
However, Hoeness emphasized the importance of allowing Andrés time to adjust, stating, “But the boy has just arrived. My job is to ensure he has the time he needs to consistently perform at the top level.”
Andrés may have the opportunity to start again when Stuttgart faces Celta Vigo in the Europa League on Thursday.
