Serge Gnabry addressed his contract situation at Bayern Munich in a recent interview, emphasizing his focus on football.
Once considered surplus to requirements, the German international has become a crucial player for Bayern this season. Positioned behind star striker Harry Kane, Gnabry has scored in the last three league matches and contributed assists in the season opener against RB Leipzig.
Bayern's sporting director, Christoph Freund, praised Gnabry’s character prior to the match against Hoffenheim, noting the shift in perception from being a potential sale candidate to now discussing a contract extension.
In his interview, Gnabry expressed no concerns regarding his contract, stating, “I'm not worried at all right now.” He highlighted his satisfaction with the team's performance and mentioned the upcoming game against Werder Bremen, where he previously played.
“Bremen was special for me as it was my first Bundesliga stop after Arsenal. It was a great time, and I still have a certain connection to the club,” he stated, adding that he looks forward to the match while wishing Bremen success in their other games.
