Celta Vigo has officially confirmed the completion of a one-year loan deal for Bryan Zaragoza from Bayern Munich.
The agreement includes an obligation to purchase Zaragoza for a reported fee of €13 million, which will be activated after he makes a specified number of appearances.
Additionally, Celta Vigo must secure a finish between eleventh and thirteenth place in the upcoming La Liga season for the obligation to buy to be enforced.
Despite earlier rumors suggesting that the transfer had fallen through, Zaragoza was seen arriving at the airport in preparation for his medical examination.
In Munich, there is no ill will towards Zaragoza, as Bayern's sporting director Christoph Freund expressed support for the player's decision, stating, "Bryan unfortunately had a lot of bad luck with injuries last season. We agree that the best way for him is for him to gain further experience in his Spanish homeland."
Freund emphasized the importance of regular playing time at a first division club participating in the Europa League as a pathway for Zaragoza to pursue his aspiration of representing Spain at the World Cup.
