According to reports, Borussia Mönchengladbach has engaged in discussions with Bayern Munich regarding a potential transfer of Paul Wanner.
Bild has indicated that Borussia Mönchengladbach has intensified its interest in the Bayern Munich prospect. The club's managing director for sport, Roland Virkus, reportedly met with Bayern's board member for sport, Max Eberl, to explore the possibility of acquiring the 19-year-old.
Virkus stated, “I don’t comment on names, but it is true that we want to strengthen our squad, especially in the creative department. We already have a few concrete options in mind.”
Die Fohlen are particularly interested in securing Wanner on loan for the upcoming season. However, it has been suggested that Bayern may prefer to retain the German U21 international, especially in light of Jamal Musiala’s long-term injury.
Other clubs, including Hamburger SV, VfB Stuttgart, PSV Eindhoven, and Werder Bremen, have also shown interest in the young attacking midfielder, who spent the previous season on loan at Heidenheim.
