VfL Wolfsburg is actively working to strengthen its squad in preparation for the 2025-26 season.
According to Brazilian television station ‘SBT Rio’, the club is close to finalizing the signing of two new players. The transfer of Vini Souza from Sheffield United is nearing completion, with the defensive midfielder scheduled to undergo a medical next week.
Wolfsburg has reportedly agreed to a €15 million transfer fee with Sheffield United, a claim supported by Kicker, which highlights the club's 'intensive' efforts to secure the player. Vini Souza has made a total of 76 appearances for Sheffield United, including 36 in the Premier League last season.
In addition, Kicker has reported that VfL Wolfsburg has successfully secured U-20 international Aaron Zehnter for the left wing position. The player, currently with SC Paderborn, attracted interest from several Bundesliga clubs, with discussions around a transfer fee of up to €5 million.
