Sky Germany has reported that claims regarding VfB Stuttgart setting an asking price of €100 million for Nick Woltemade are "wide off the mark."
Recent speculation indicated that VfB Stuttgart was demanding a substantial fee of €100 million to allow Nick Woltemade to transfer to Bayern Munich, where he has reportedly already agreed on personal terms.
However, Sky Germany asserts that Stuttgart has not confirmed such a high asking price. The two clubs are anticipated to begin discussions regarding the 23-year-old Germany international shortly.
Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl commented, "We’ll just see what’s possible and feasible, without letting ourselves get carried away," during a press conference on Sunday.
Eberl further stated, "Our intention was actually to handle this calmly. That’s already gone out the window. So right now, I don’t want to set any other expectations. I think it’s been communicated very openly, and now we’ll talk and see if we can reach an agreement. How long that will take - I can’t say."
