Pascal Groß Emphasizes Commitment to Dortmund Beyond Financial Gain

Pascal Groß, a midfielder for Borussia Dortmund, has stated that he has no intentions of retiring from football in the near future.

At 34 years old, Groß expressed that he is still enjoying the game and feels he is in excellent physical condition. He shared these sentiments in an interview, stating, "I haven’t thought about quitting even once so far," while emphasizing the importance of being able to contribute effectively to his team.

With the recent addition of Jobe Bellingham to the squad, Groß recognizes that competition for playing time in central midfield will become more challenging. Nevertheless, he views this competition positively, noting that it "keeps things exciting."

Despite his enthusiasm, Groß made it clear that he does not wish to remain at Dortmund if he feels he has become surplus to requirements. He stated, "I wouldn’t stay at Dortmund just to get another contract and make a lot of money," highlighting his desire to continue contributing rather than simply receiving a paycheck. His current contract is set to expire next year.
