According to reports, FC Augsburg has successfully signed Robin Fellhauer, the captain of SV Elversberg, overcoming competition from Werder Bremen and FC Köln.
The 27-year-old midfielder is set to join the Bundesliga next season after Augsburg activated his release clause, agreeing to pay a high six-figure fee to Elversberg for the transfer.
Fellhauer played a crucial role in Elversberg's campaign last season, where the team narrowly missed promotion to the Bundesliga, losing in the promotion/relegation playoff against Heidenheim.
Throughout his time at Elversberg, the former Freiburg youth player has made a total of 178 appearances for the club.
