Jeremie Frimpong's tenure at Bayer Leverkusen has officially concluded as he has signed with Liverpool FC.
The 24-year-old right-back has secured a long-term contract with Liverpool that extends until 2030, as confirmed by both clubs.
Liverpool activated the €35-40 million release clause in Frimpong's contract, a move anticipated to address the recent departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who transferred to Real Madrid.
In his farewell message, Frimpong reflected on his time at Bayer Leverkusen, stating, “[My time at Bayer Leverkusen is] a very special stage in what I hope will be a long professional career. It's incredible what we've all achieved here together. The double victory was a moving and unforgettable event for me because very few people believed we could do it.”
He concluded by expressing gratitude, saying, “I will always be a Leverkusener. This club remains an important part of my personal history, and I thank Bayer 04 and the fans for a fantastic time.”
