Following their promotion to the Bundesliga, FC Köln has confirmed a new contract for winger Linton Maina.
On Sunday, FC Köln fans celebrated not only the team's return to the Bundesliga but also the extension of Maina's contract, which was set to expire this summer.

After the team's decisive 4-0 victory over Kaiserslautern, the 24-year-old addressed the crowd, stating, "The whole city simply deserves this," in front of thousands of enthusiastic fans at the RheinEnergieStadion.
He also mentioned, “Five or six weeks ago, I signed with a Bundesliga club - one that can finally call itself a Bundesliga club again.”
