Multiple Bundesliga clubs are expressing interest in Holstein Kiel’s player of the season, Shuto Machino.
Despite scoring 11 goals, Machino's debut season in the Bundesliga concluded with Holstein Kiel's relegation. The Japanese striker had a more productive campaign in the top-flight compared to his performance during the promotion season.
Reports indicate that Borussia Mönchengladbach has shown concrete interest in the six-time Japan international. The club, which plans to begin the next season under the management of Gerardo Seoane, is actively seeking additional attacking options.
Newly-promoted Hamburger SV is also competing for Machino's signature. The player is under contract with Holstein Kiel until 2027, but the club anticipates a transfer fee in the range of €5–6 million for the 25-year-old striker.
