Muhammed Damar has signed a new long-term contract with Hoffenheim, securing his future with the club.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder impressed during a loan spell at SV Elversberg in the 2. Bundesliga, where he scored nine goals and provided six assists in 31 league appearances.
His performance attracted interest from several top-tier clubs; however, Hoffenheim successfully retained the Germany Under-20 international.
Andreas Schicker, managing director for sport at TSG Hoffenheim, praised Damar's talent and contributions during his loan, stating, "Mo is a highly talented player with exceptional technical ability and a great understanding of the game." He expressed satisfaction with Damar's decision to stay with the club despite receiving other high-profile offers.
Damar expressed his happiness regarding the contract extension, stating, "The club means a lot to me - I still know many players in the squad and staff members at the club, so I won’t need any time to settle in. This environment will help me perform at my best.”
In the 2024/25 season, Damar's performance in the 2. Bundesliga included nine goals and six assists across 31 matches.
