In a recent press conference for the English national team, Harry Kane discussed the significant influence of Thomas Tuchel on his decision to join Bayern Munich. The 31-year-old striker expressed admiration for Tuchel's coaching abilities.
Kane stated, “He was a big reason why I went to Bayern Munich in the first place. I know how good of a coach he is. He brings a lot of energy, enthusiasm and passion when he speaks. I had a really good season with him last season.”
Regarding his quick adaptation to life in Bavaria, Kane attributed it to his personality and confidence in his skills. “No matter the situation and no matter where I’m playing … I back myself to be able to help the team and score goals,” he noted.
He added, “I was proud of how I started last year in the Bundesliga. I didn’t know what to expect when I arrived. But with the help of Thomas [Tuchel] and [Anthony] Barry, I settled in really quick and what I’ve been doing my whole career.”
Tuchel, who managed both Bayern Munich and Kane until his departure in May 2024, has since taken on the role of head coach for the England national team.
