A decision has been made between Hansa Rostock and their upcoming opponents, Rot-Weiss Essen, following disturbances caused by Rostock fans during last Sunday’s match.
The management of 3.Liga side Hansa Rostock has taken measures in response to the damage inflicted by their supporters at Alemannia Aachen’s stadium. As a result, ticket sales for their next away game against Rot-Weiss Essen on April 6 will be restricted.
Only 1,900 tickets will be made available for the travelling fans, all of which will be standing. Additionally, the seating area in Block G2 will remain empty and unused.
This decision will lead to a reduction of 600 spectators if the game is sold out, due to the closure of Block G2.
The action follows a 2-1 loss to Aachen, where supporters vandalized approximately 700 plastic seats in the Tivoli Stadion, alongside extensive damage to sanitary facilities, resulting in an estimated €50,000 in damages.
Hansa’s supervisory chairman expressed disappointment, stating that it is frustrating to continuously deal with such issues of destruction each week.
