The Deutscher Fussball-Bund (DFB) has imposed a one-match ban on Borussia Monchengladbach's goalkeeper, Jonas Omlin, following an incident of unsportsmanlike conduct.
The decision was made by the DFB's sports court after reviewing Omlin's actions during a recent match.
Omlin received a straight red card in the 28th minute of Gladbach's 3-0 loss to FC Augsburg last Saturday, after a mistimed tackle on Fredrik Jensen.
As a result of the suspension, Omlin will miss Gladbach's upcoming match against FC Heidenheim on Matchday 24 of the Bundesliga next Saturday.
Tobias Sippel, who came on as a substitute for Omlin after his dismissal, is expected to start in goal for the team. Meanwhile, Moritz Nicolas is unavailable due to a season-ending injury.
