Bayer Leverkusen is reportedly targeting AS Roma's Mario Hermoso and Aston Villa's Emiliano Buendia as potential replacements for injured players Jeanuel Belocian and Martin Terrier.
According to sources, including Fabrizio Romano and Sky Germany, the German champions are interested in signing 29-year-old centre-back Mario Hermoso this month to bolster their defense following Belocian's season-ending cruciate ligament injury.
Additionally, Sky Germany indicates that Bayer Leverkusen is considering a loan move for Emiliano Buendia from Aston Villa, who could serve as a replacement for Martin Terrier. Terrier recently sustained an Achilles injury and will also be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
