Martin Terrier has sustained another injury setback while playing for Bayer Leverkusen, raising concerns about his availability going forward.
Since joining Bayer Leverkusen from Stade Rennes last summer, Terrier has struggled with multiple injuries, and his most recent issue appears to be significant.
During Saturday's 3-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach, Terrier was substituted early due to what is suspected to be a serious injury.
Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso commented on the situation in a post-match interview, stating, "It doesn't look good. There will be tests tomorrow, but the feeling at the moment is not good. The way he looked backwards is typical of an Achilles injury. It's a shame for Martin."
Teammate Granit Xhaka also expressed concern, saying, "I really hope it's not what we think and what he felt. It would be a slap in the face for the club and us players. It's something that will keep you out for a while."
