Atakan Karazor is expected to miss VfB Stuttgart's final game of 2024 due to illness, with Yannik Keitel likely to take his place.
Stuttgart will face St. Pauli on Saturday without their club captain. Coach Sebastian Hoeness confirmed at a pre-match press conference, "Unfortunately, 'Ata' is ill. He probably won't be able to play." He added that "Yannik Keitel will most likely replace him."
Additionally, players Jamie Leweling and Deniz Undav have recently returned to training but will not be rushed back into the lineup. Hoeness stated, "The game is too early for both of them. We don't want to take any risks."
Furthermore, striker Justin Diehl has sustained a muscle injury and will not participate in Stuttgart's preparations for the second half of the season in January. Hoeness expressed sympathy for Diehl, saying, "It's really bitter for the youngster to receive such bad news just before Christmas. But he'll bounce back. He has a great future ahead of him."
