Manchester United are nearing completion of the signing of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, as reported by El Pais. The Uruguayan player has reached an agreement with the Red Devils, and negotiations for the transfer are ongoing. Reports indicate that the deal is close to being finalized, with the 23-year-old expected to travel to Manchester within a few hours. Additionally, United have accepted a fee of around €30m from Napoli for the potential transfer of Scott McTominay, which could expedite Ugarte's move. It is anticipated that United will pay approximately €60m for Ugarte's services, with the transfer fee likely to be spread over several seasons to avoid breaching Financial Fair Play regulations. Ugarte is poised to become United's fifth signing of the summer, following Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui. Furthermore, the club has not ruled out the possibility of making another signing before the transfer deadline.
