Chelsea have decided against pursuing a deal to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio. The club had been considering Osimhen as a potential addition to their squad, but various factors have led to a change in their plans. Firstly, Chelsea are not willing to meet Napoli's asking price of over £100m, especially as the Italian club is seeking the majority of the fee in a single payment. Additionally, they are hesitant to meet Osimhen's wage demands, as he currently earns £212,000 per week and may seek an even higher salary. Chelsea's policy is to avoid paying more than £150,000 per week for new signings, and Osimhen is not willing to accept a reduced salary. As a result, Chelsea have shifted their focus away from Osimhen and may explore other targets, such as Benjamin Sesko. It's noted that Arsenal is also pursuing Sesko, so Chelsea will need to act swiftly to secure the highly-rated Leipzig star before their London rivals.
