DONE DEAL: Tottenham announce new agreement for Werner

Tottenham have officially announced that Timo Werner will be returning on loan for the 2024/2025 season. The German winger made a strong impression during the latter part of the previous season with the North London club. Prior to joining Tottenham, Werner had been struggling to secure playing time at RB Leipzig, and he is pleased to continue his stay in England. The Spurs released a statement expressing their delight in reaching an agreement for Werner to rejoin the team on loan from RB Leipzig for the upcoming season, with the possibility of a permanent deal. Werner, who was signed on loan from the Bundesliga side in January, became a regular part of Ange Postecoglou's team in the second half of the previous season. Despite being on international duty and dealing with an injury to Dejan Kulusevski, Werner quickly made an impact by starting and assisting in a goal during his debut at Old Trafford. Throughout the 2023/24 season, the 28-year-old made 14 appearances for Tottenham, contributing goals and assists before his season was cut short due to a hamstring injury in May.
