Leipzig's Young Talent Faces Injury Setback

Tidiam Gomis will be sidelined for several weeks due to a ligament injury, as confirmed by RB Leipzig.

The 18-year-old winger is expected to be out for approximately five to six weeks. Gomis was part of the French squad that recently won the Maurice Revellon tournament.

Since joining Leipzig from Ligue 2 club Caen, Gomis has made eight appearances in the Bundesliga. He made his starting debut as a striker in the last game of the season against Stuttgart, with teammates Benjamin Sesko and Loïs Openda on the bench.

In light of Gomis's injury, Ole Werner’s side is actively pursuing additional transfers following three signings made on Wednesday. This season marks the first time Leipzig will not participate in a European competition since their promotion to the Bundesliga.
