Paul Wanner Discusses His Upcoming Plans

Bayern Munich's Paul Wanner remains a valued player at the Bavarian club despite a challenging season with Heidenheim in 2024/25. Following a disappointing performance in the U21 EUROS with Germany, Wanner has addressed his future prospects.

Wanner's season began positively, but his form declined, resulting in difficulties securing a spot in the starting eleven. Ultimately, he made 41 appearances for Heidenheim, contributing to 10 goals through 6 goals and 4 assists.

“First of all, I'm happy that I managed to avoid relegation with Heidenheim. I haven't thought about anything else yet. The decision will be made after the U21 EUROS,” Wanner stated regarding his immediate future.

Bayern Munich's current strategy involves loaning Wanner out again, this time to a club that competes regularly in European competitions. The club maintains confidence in Wanner's potential to become a key player in their squad.

Although Wanner has previously indicated a desire to avoid becoming a frequent loan player, the ongoing search for an attacking player or winger at Bayern suggests that a loan remains the most feasible option for his development.
