A Spanish publication has reported that Athletic Club is insisting that Barcelona pay the player's release clause, reportedly set at €58 million, in a single installment, while showing more willingness to negotiate with Bayern.
Over the weekend, it was reported that Bayern Munich has submitted a new offer for Williams, remaining optimistic that Barcelona's financial difficulties will prevent the deal from going through.
Nevertheless, Barcelona maintains confidence in their ability to complete the transfer.
