Oliver Burke has reportedly opted not to remain at Werder Bremen, with a transfer to Union Berlin nearing completion.
According to Deichstube, a Bremen-based publication that closely follows the club, Werder Bremen will allow Oliver Burke to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The report indicates that Burke has made the decision to join Union Berlin once his contract expires this summer and has already completed a medical examination ahead of the move to the German capital club.
Despite previously stating his willingness to stay at Werder Bremen, recent reports suggested that the Scottish striker rejected two contract offers from the club due to dissatisfaction with the proposed salary.
Burke, 28, has grown increasingly important to the Green-Whites as the season has progressed, having started the last seven matches and scored three goals in his last three appearances.
