Victor Boniface regained the lead for Leverkusen in the 60th minute, assisted by Piero Hincapie. Substitute Amine Adli then sealed the win with a late goal, bringing the final score to 3-1.
This victory leaves Bayer Leverkusen three points behind Bayern Munich, who are set to play against FC St. Pauli on Saturday. Bochum currently sits in 16th place, just one point above Heidenheim and three points clear of last-placed Holstein Kiel.
