Florian Wirtz's potential contract situation with Bayer Leverkusen remains uncertain as the two parties have reportedly reached an agreement on terms for an extension beyond 2027. However, the deal has yet to be finalized, with the 21-year-old reportedly hesitant to commit.
Despite this uncertainty, it is anticipated that Wirtz will eventually sign a new contract with the German champions. Should he choose not to renew, Bayer Leverkusen may consider a sale during the summer transfer window.
According to reports from Sky Germany, if Wirtz were to reject the renewal offer, the club would seek a fee in the range of €120-130 million plus bonuses for his transfer.
Wirtz has been with Leverkusen since 2020 but is currently recovering from an ankle injury. This season, he has made notable contributions on the field, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists in 39 matches for Die Werkself.
