Sebastian Hoeness has commented on Deniz Undav's struggles to find the back of the net for VfB Stuttgart, noting that the player is yearning for "the feeling of success" after failing to score in his last six matches.
Undav was not included in the starting lineup for Stuttgart's recent 3-4 loss to Bayer Leverkusen, with Ermedin Demirovic and Nick Woltemade taking on the forward positions.
During a press conference, Stuttgart coach Hoeness addressed Undav's recent performance, stating, "At the end of the day, he's missing the feeling of success. Every career is made up of ups and downs, and now he's going through a phase in which things don't come so easily after a phase in which he performed at a very high level for a long time."
Hoeness expressed his satisfaction with Undav's training efforts, mentioning, "He is now back in the VfB focus and showing the attitude we need against Frankfurt. We need his skill and finesse to get back to winning ways."
VfB Stuttgart enters their upcoming match without a victory in their last five games.
