Following a nine-match winless streak, 1. FC Union Berlin's managing director has not fully endorsed head coach Bo Svensson's continuation in his role.
Union Berlin's performance under Svensson has been disappointing, with the team securing only four victories in 15 league matches and being eliminated from the German Cup by third-tier club DSC Arminia Bielefeld. The latest setback came with a loss to SV Werder Bremen, marking Svensson's ninth match without a win.
In his post-match comments, FCU managing director Horst Heldt stated, "We'll have to let this sink in... Overall, he [Svensson] enjoys a great deal of trust, but I believe we'll have to take another look at the games and evaluate."
Svensson acknowledged the challenges ahead, saying, "We face a tough start in January. We have to turn things around, and we're in a position to do that. Now it's up to everyone. First and foremost, the team."
