Chelsea are considering letting go of Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile once the transfer window reopens in the New Year. Disasi was previously linked with a move to Newcastle United, but a deal didn't come through before the transfer deadline in August. Newcastle is still keeping a close eye on him and might make another move for him in January. On the other hand, Badiashile has been a target for AC Milan for some time, and they are thinking about making a move for the former Monaco player. Chelsea's current main center-backs are Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill, with Tosin Adarabioyo as the immediate backup. Disasi and Badiashile are considered as fourth and fifth-choice options in the squad, and Chelsea may allow them to leave in January to make room for new signings. Chelsea tried unsuccessfully to sign Benfica's Tomas Araujo late last month, and they could revisit their interest in him in January.
