Spanish winger Bryan Gil is set to extend his contract at White Hart Lane and will be sent out on loan to La Liga side Girona for the season. The new deal reportedly includes a two-year extension with a 15 million euro release clause. Girona, aiming to strengthen their squad after the departure of key players, sees Gil as a valuable addition but is unable to afford a permanent transfer, hence requesting a minimum fee release clause for the following summer. Despite facing challenges at Spurs, Gil has displayed glimpses of his potential since joining in 2021 from Sevilla, having also had loan spells with other clubs and earning four caps with Spain's national team.
