Manchester United have entered the competition with Bologna to secure the services of Girona left-back Miguel Gutierrez, as reported by AS. The Red Devils are keen on recruiting a new left-back this summer due to the injuries suffered by Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia last season. Shaw was limited to just 15 appearances due to multiple setbacks, while Malacia missed the entire campaign due to a serious knee problem. Although Shaw has resumed training with England, Manchester United has opted to pursue another talented left-back. Gutierrez is among their top targets, but AS suggests that their plans could be hindered by Real Madrid. Madrid has the option to reacquire him at a low cost, and Carlo Ancelotti's team might opt to retain him rather than sell him for a profit. The reigning European champions are interested in acquiring Alphonso Davies from Bayern, but the German club is hesitant to part with him at the moment. If an agreement for the Canadian star is not reached, it could create an opportunity for Gutierrez to become part of the club's plans.
