Chelsea have reportedly made an unexpected move to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, as per Daily Mail. It's been revealed that Chelsea have inquired about acquiring Isak's services, prompted by Newcastle's financial situation. The Magpies need to raise approximately £50m by the end of June or risk potential points deduction in the upcoming season. Despite Chelsea's surprise approach, it's anticipated that Newcastle will turn down their offer. Newcastle is determined to retain their key players and is likely to demand at least £100m for Isak. Chelsea may be hesitant to make such a substantial investment, especially after previously declining to pay around £60m for Michael Olise. Additionally, they would also need to cover wages exceeding £200,000 per week. The rumors may be driven by agents seeking a new contract.
