Arsenal get green light to sign RB Leipzig striker

Arsenal have been approved to pursue the signing of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko in the upcoming summer transfer window. As they seek to strengthen their center-forward position, Sesko has been a consistent target for the north London team. According to The Mirror, Arsenal are now in a favorable position in the transfer competition after receiving a positive response from Sesko, who has given his consent to the move. If they prefer not to activate the release clause, Arsenal will need to engage in discussions with Leipzig. Following an impressive 2023/24 season where he scored 18 goals in 2,056 minutes, Sesko's buy-out clause has risen to €65m. While Arsenal can afford to pay the fee upfront, they may opt for a longer-term payment plan to accommodate additional summer signings. Despite interest from Chelsea, the absence of Champions League football may have hindered their pursuit of the talented striker. Similarly, AC Milan was also vying for Sesko's services, but it seems evident that they lack the financial capability to compete with Arsenal.
